About Hope Stone

Hope Stone’s mission is to unlock the innate creativity of young people and adults through our arts outreach programs with a vision of art for all. We are an organization dedicated to nurturing the creative side of children and adults through the positive, empowering experience of the arts. We believe that brilliant art equals brilliant minds and integrate that belief in all aspects of our work.

Hope Stone, Inc., founded in 1997, celebrates 19 years of artistic excellence and recognition in Houston, Texas. Our programs continue to deliver the core value of the arts to our communities, fostering creative, compassionate, and problem- solving citizens. Whether a child or adult is participating in our arts education classes in dance, music, and theater, or watching our compelling performances, the body and mind of each person is engaged in a mindful experience that promotes awareness and presence – skills needed for the success of our communities, families, and businesses. For almost two decades, Hope Stone has committed itself to improving the quality of life for Houstonians through art.

Hope Stone’s arts outreach program, The Hope Project (The Hope Project), serves children and adults, ages 2-98 years, in their schools and facilities, where highly skilled artists teach them the artistic disciplines of music, dance, and theater.

Hope Stone’s professional dance company (Hope Stone Dance) stages compelling and accessible new works that challenge, entertain, and educate audiences. Their performances are powerful, joyful, and intimately human, connecting to both children and adults through the power of live and accessible art in accessible places. Hope Stone Dance presents project based work as well as annually performs for over 3,000 children and teenagers as part of the Discovery Series at the Hobby Center.
